Total Triage

The way you book appointments with us has changed. We have moved to a new system for patients to book appointments called Total Triage. Total Triage is a new approach recommended by NHS England, to improve access to services. The main purpose of Total Triage is to:

– enhance the quality of care our patients receive

– ensure patients are given the most appropriate appointment or advice to meet their needs

– communicate with patients in a timely way

We want to make the process of booking an appointment with your GP practice as fair as possible.

The quickest way to contact your surgery with medical or administrative queries is by submitting an online request here on our website or through the NHS App.

Alternatively, if you are unable to complete an online request, please call 01902 455771 and a member of staff will be happy to complete the request on your behalf.

Your Appointment

However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:

  • By phone
  • Face to face at the surgery
  • On a video call
  • By text or email

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.

Cancelling or Changing an Appointment

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the appointment to someone else.

You can cancel by replying “cancel” to your text message reminder, online, or by phone.

Home Visits

We encourage where possible, all our patients to attend the surgery to see a doctor.  Home visits are only for patients who are housebound, terminally ill or frail and there is a medical need. Transportation issues are not a reason for a home visit.

Please ring the surgery before 11:00am to book same day home visits.  Requests made after this time will be made on the following working day.

Please provide as much information as you can to our reception team and ensure that your contact details are up to date.

Please note there is no guarantee that a specific doctor will visit you at home and the time is determined by clinical workload and urgency of request.

If you Need Help When we are Closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online (111.nhs.uk) or call 111.

111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Evening, Weekend and Bank Holiday appointments

Please see Wolverhampton Care Collaborative (WCC) our Primary Care Network website for extended opening hours across the practices for appointments available to you. Appointments are bookable in advance through your Surgery or on the day during the opening times for the extended hours with your surgery.
